Good Ways to Fix Bad Posture

Routine chiropractic care can not only help you correct your posture, but it can also help you maintain it throughout your lifetime. Regular chiropractic adjustments and some advice from your chiropractor can help make all the difference! Here are some helpful tips that may help you out:

  1. Sitting posture:

-Keep both feet on the floor. If your footrest is too high, get a footstool!

-Uncross your legs, and keep your ankles in front of your knees

-Adjust your chair to support your lower back

-Keep your forearms parallel to the ground

-Stay active! Take a one to three minute walk or stand every 30 minutes

  1. Standing posture:

            -Focus your weight on the back ends of your feet

            – Keep your knees slightly bent

            – Let your arms hang naturally

            – Keep your shoulders back

            -Place your feet around a shoulder-width apart

  1. Lying down posture:

            -Make sure you have the proper mattress for your own needs

            -DO NOT sleep on your stomach!

            -If you sleep on your side, place a pillow between your legs

            -If you sleep on your back, keep a pillow under your knees

            -Make sure you sleep with an ergonomic sleep posture pillow
